Description

Lilium amabile Palibin

Origin:
Korea to China, S. E. Liaoning; upon grassy areas on loamy soil. Although its habitat is relatively close to Japan Lilium amabile has never been reported to occur there as well.

Taxonomy:
Lilium amabile appears in several colour-variants, which is why the taxonomically incorrect name var. luteum arose. Basically, we strictly adhere to the names of the incoming material, that´s why some amabile-clones are listed here as var. luteum.
