Taxonomy:

Lilium nanum var. nanum and Lilium nanum var. flavidum (listed separately)

Origin:
China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sikkim; forest margins, thickets, grassy slopes, alpine grasslands, altitude 3.500 – 4.500 m

Laboratory comment:
According Lilium nanum var. nanum # 1 VSt ´11.16, we are planning to mature them out to adult, fls. plants anywhere in a partner-garden up to Europe´s North. Actually this species is very warmth-intolerant and proves that to be already in-vitro under artificial conditions. There are too few clones for any sort of selecting more tolerant clones.
