Description

Lilium medogense Liang 1985

Origin:
China (SE Xizang, Mêdog Xian); typically in rocky openings of Abies forests in high altitudes

Laboratory comment:
We got seeds of this species in smallest amounts only and are working on 9 different clones actually as a few got lost mostly due to contamination or a wrong medium. This species came to us when we´ve been still new to lilies in-vitro and stuck straight in the middle of try & error concerning several medium-recipes. This is why we´ve put medogense into tissue-culture as late as possible in order to dispose of a better experience then.
